Ryan Penaflor - Baseball Player

I am a 3b/INF/RHP/OF from Tucson, AZ. I made varsity as a freshman. I believe I can contribute to a team/institution through my hard work,strong work ethic, willingness to learn,leading by example and being a team player while enjoying to play the game I love. I always believed that "A diamond is just a chunk of coal that made good under pressure."

Ryan Penaflor is a 2012 3B/P/OF with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Salpointe Catholic HS. Good athletic body for his age, some present strength. Good looking swing, shifts weight well, shows bat speed, ball comes off the barrell hard, present gap to gap power with more to come. Plays both OF and 3B, aggressive fielder, has nice arm strength, charges balls aggressively. Also pitched, full wind up, hard fall off to 1B side, FB to 77 mph from over the top release, big 12/6 curveball. Good student.

1/14/2011 - Under Armour Preseason All-America - 2011 Ryan is a 3B/SS with an athletic frame that is well suited for his position. Feet are active and aggressive as he attacks ground balls while playing through with his body. Hands are soft, clean, and soft displaying a sure glove action. He is fluid to throw with carry and accuracy into his target. Offensively, Penaflor shows a balanced approach allowing his hands to work through a level swing path. Hands are quick, generating bat speed with the baseball jumping off of his bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to increase as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. At the event, he was 2 for 5. Ryan has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
