Raul Reyes III - Football Player

Raul returned from the off season 38lbs. heavier, Raul returned to an all senior varsity team, a lettered underclassmen on the team, he was moved to the box as a linebacker on defense and inside receiver on offense. Started on special teams, both on kick-off and punt return, Raul was an impact 4 down player and a 4 quarter starter, contibuting on both sides of the ball. Though the Mighty Vikings had a poor season, Raul managed to attrack district wide attention by making the 2011-12 11-4A All District 2nd team as a linebacker. Raul was named 2011-12 Varsity Linebacker of the Year.

The only freshman on varsity, started on defense and special teams and played slot on spread offense. Raul began the season as bandit (Safety/Linebacker) and was moved to Defensive End, where his constant pressure and explosive rushing contributed to Pinkston having a strong defense. Unfortunately, his season was uprubtly ended before the season ended when he was speared and suffered a broken mandible. Named 2010-11 Varsity Defensive Linemen of the Year.
