One of the most powerful players in LaSalle baseball history. This junior transfer will be a significant prospect by the end of the season. Mike will bring much needed power to the 2012 line up. Avila has also improved his defensive play during the Fall season.

Offensively, his strength and bat speed bring alot of excitement to the 2012 Royal Lions squad. There will be some tape measured shots hit by the junior prospect. There are high expectations of this talented young man. Good production from "Big Mike" will make life alot easier to this year's players and coaches.
