About Derrick Findley

Derrick is a 25-Year-Old Grad. at Livingston High School in Livingston, Texas. He currently focuses on one sport, Baseball.

My name is Derrick Findley. I'm currently a 16 year old incoming Senior at Livingston High School in Livingston, Texas. My focus has been Baseball at the Varsity level since my Sophomore year of high school, although I've played all my life. As the starting centerfielder my sophomore year and relief left handed pitcher, I lettered and recieved 1st Team All-District Selection my first year of Varsity play. My junior year brought about more opportunity to focus on my pitching which again led me to a 1st Team All-District Selection, but this time as a pitcher. I finished my season with district leading 1.89 ERA in 60 innings pitched. In addition to piching, I also led my team in stolen bases for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Academics is also very important to me as I have been excelling in Pre-AP courses throughout my high school career. I will also begin my concurrent college courses in the coming year through our local community college.

In the future, I look forward to attending college to obtain a major in Fire Engineering and Safety. I would love to pursue a career in Baseball in the meantime and have hopes of taking my love for the game even further into a career of its own.
