About Alexis Mills

Alexis is a 26-Year-Old Grad. at Star International Academy in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. She currently focuses on one sport, Volleyball.

I am currently into Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Soccer, and other various volleyball clubs, but my ultimate passion is for volleyball. I have been playing since 6th grade, Originally, I only joined because my friends were thinking about doing a sport and I have been to a couple of my sister's practices, but once I made the team and we played our first game I knew this sport was for me. My inspiration is Destinee Hooker of the U.S Women's 2012 Volleyball Team, she has inspired me to practice, train and leave it all out on the court. Volleyball has helped me incredibly especially since I am known to be shy, and reserved. Now I feel like I am gaining self-confidence and sportsmanship. Words cannot describe the rush I get from a perfect "kill”, just the expression on the opponents face when they didn’t get to the ball fast enough is priceless. After graduation I can hopefully see myself playing the game I live for.
