Patriots release LB Bo Ruud (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The New England Patriots have released linebacker Bo Ruud (ROOD), who spent his entire rookie season on the team's injured reserve list. Ruud, a three-year starter at Nebraska, was selected by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL draft. He injured his ankle in training camp and missed the regular season.
