Packers re-sign DE Montgomery (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The Green Bay Packers have re-signed defensive end Michael Montgomery, an unrestricted free agent who played mostly as a backup in his first four seasons with the team. A sixth-round draft choice by the Packers in 2005, Montgomery made eight starts last season and had a career-high 71 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks.
