Eagles sign FB Weaver to 1-year contract (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Fullback Leonard Weaver has agreed to a one-year contract with Philadelphia, giving the Eagles a much-needed blocker in the backfield. Weaver spent his first four seasons with Seattle. He ran for 130 yards and caught 20 passes for two touchdowns last season. The Eagles played without a true fullback most of last season, and it cost them in several short-yardage situations.
