Judge says Northcutt suit can proceed (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

A Los Angeles judge has refused to throw out part of a lawsuit claiming Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dennis Northcutt arranged the beating of his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Northcutt's attorneys lost their bid Friday to have a Superior Court judge dismiss a claim of negligent hiring -- one of several allegations made in the suit by Sharri Henry.
