Dolphins' Carey inks multiyear extension (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Tackle Vernon Carey signed a multiyear contract extension with the Miami Dolphins and won't become an unrestricted free agent next week, the team said Friday. Carey, the team's first-round draft choice in 2004, has started 59 games in a row. The signing means the Dolphins are set at tackle, with 2008 top pick Jake Long returning on the left side.
