Colts DB Jackson wins defamation lawsuit (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Former Michigan football player Marlin Jackson was awarded $225,000 in a lawsuit against a fellow student who claimed the football player assaulted him in 2003. A Washtenaw County jury ruled Thursday that Jackson was defamed by Shahin Farokhrany. Farokhrany said he was assaulted with a bottle at a party and sued Jackson for $10 million.
