Massive running back Brandon Jacobs has been designated by the New York Giants as their franchise player. The 264-pound Jacobs led the team in rushing last season with 1,089 yards on 219 carries for a 5.0 average. He also led the team with 15 touchdowns rushing. As a franchise player, he is guaranteed $6.6 million.
