Report: Cards' Pendergast won't return (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Clancy Pendergast won't return as defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals, two local media outlets reported on Friday. The Arizona Republic quoted NFL sources as saying Pendergast would not return but said it wasn't known if he was leaving to take another position or had been dismissed. XTRA sports radio reported that Pendergast had been fired.
