Redskins hire Wachenheim as TE coach (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The Washington Redskins hired Scott Wachenheim as tight ends coach Thursday, reuniting coach Jim Zorn with a colleague from the early 1990s. Wachenheim has been a college coach for 21 seasons, including the last three as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Liberty. Liberty averaged 33.7 points and 446.7 yards last year in a 10-2 season that included a Big South championship.
