Lions name Linehan offensive coordinator (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

New Lions coach Jim Schwartz has hired ex-St. Louis Rams coach Scott Linehan as Detroit's offensive coordinator. The Lions withheld terms of the deal on Friday. The Rams fired Linehan this season after the team opened up 0-4. Linehan became Rams coach in 2006. Before that, he spent four years as offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings.
