Falcons' Smith edges Sparano as Coach of the Year (sportsline.com)

Mike Smith of the Atlanta Falcons has edged Tony Sparano of the Miami Dolphins by one vote Sunday for The Associated Press 2008 NFL Coach of the Year award.
