New general manager Martin Mayhew will make all the football decisions for the Detroit Lions. Mayhew and new president Tom Lewand met the media Tuesday and both said their combined 21 years with the franchise and seeing the mistakes that were made under previous president Matt Millen makes them the best men to turn it around.
