Hornets owner pledges to save UNO sports (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Hornets owner George Shinn says he will see to it that the University of New Orleans' sports teams survive. Shinn announced Wednesday that he will head up a committee to raise money for the program by reaching out to business leaders in the city of New Orleans and the region. Shinn says he also will lend the expertise of his NBA club to help UNO improve marketing and ticket sales.
