Knicks G Hughes out with sprained ankle (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

New York guard Larry Hughes was sidelined Tuesday night against Denver because of a sprained right ankle. Hughes injured the ankle in the Knicks' loss at Utah on Monday night. Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said Hughes is day-to-day and could return Saturday against Toronto. Hughes has been filling in for Quentin Richardson, who missed his third straight game with a sprained left ankle.
