Timberwolves point guard Sebastian Telfair missed Minnesota's game against Houston on Sunday night with a groin injury. Telfair told coach Kevin McHale at the morning shootaround that he wanted to play, but team trainers recommended he sit out to avoid turning the situation more serious. Telfair is averaging 8.8 points and 4.5 assists and had started the previous 24 games.
