Era officially begins for Orioles prospect Wieters (usatoday.com)

The Matt Wieters Era is in full swing.The Orioles drew 42,704 their largest home crowd since opening day for the major league debut of their prized catching prospect on Friday night. The team said it sold approximately 15,000 tickets after it announced on Tuesday that Wieters would be called up from Class AAA Norfolk.
