Papelbon escapes jam in 9th as BoSox win (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Jonathan Papelbon powered his way out of a ninth inning jam with three straight strikeouts after Jason Bay doubled home the go-ahead run in the eighth, and the Boston Red Sox beat Tampa Bay 4-3 Sunday night. The Red Sox took two of three from Tampa Bay, snapping a streak of six consecutive series victories by the Rays against Boston, including last fall's ALCS.
