Padres bring up RHP Gaudin from Triple-A (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The San Diego Padres have purchased right-hander Chad Gaudin's contract from Triple-A Portland and designated right-hander Eulogio De La Cruz for assignment. Gaudin agreed to a minor league contract with San Diego on April 12 after he was released by the Chicago Cubs. He made two starts at Portland, throwing 8 2-3 scoreless innings without factoring in a decision.
