Jays call up Burres to replace Romero (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The Toronto Blue Jays called up left-hander Brian Burres on Friday from Triple-A Las Vegas to start Saturday against the Chicago White Sox. Burres replaces rookie left-hander Ricky Romero, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a strained muscle in his right side. Burres was 0-2 with a 6.97 ERA in three games in Triple-A.
