Rangers call up prized prospect Holland (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The future is here for one of the Texas Rangers' prized pitching prospects. The Rangers announced Saturday they've purchases the contract of left-hander Derek Holland from Triple-A Oklahoma City. To make room for Holland, the Rangers have designated right-hander Josh Rupe for assignment. Holland, 22, allowed four runs in four innings and took the loss in his Triple-A debut Monday at Nashville.
