Blue Jays put C Barrett on 15-day DL (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Michael Barrett was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a torn muscle and possible fracture in his right shoulder. Catcher Raul Chavez was recalled from Triple-A on Saturday to take Barrett's place on the roster. Barrett was injured while chasing a wild pitch in Friday night's loss to Oakland, falling on a weighted sleeve in the Athletics' on-deck circle.
