Braves SS Escobar leaves with injury (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Atlanta Braves shortstop Yunel Escobar strained an abdominal muscle and left after the fifth inning against the Florida Marlins. Escobar landed hard on his chest making an unsuccessful dive for a single to center by Cody Ross in the fourth inning of Thursday's game. He remained in but did not return after hitting a groundout in the fifth inning.
