Fidrych's death ruled an accident (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Massachusetts authorities say former All-Star pitcher Mark Fidrych suffocated when his clothes became entangled with a spinning part on the truck he was working on. The Worcester District Attorney's office announced Thursday that the medical examiner has ruled Fidrych's death an accident. The 54-year-old Fidrych was found dead Monday beneath a 10-wheel dump truck at his Northborough home.
