Nationals option CF Milledge to minors (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Nationals center fielder Lastings Milledge has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse. Milledge is batting .167 with no extra-base hits, one RBI, one walk and 10 strikeouts this season. He has been hitting in the leadoff spot. Washington is 0-7, the only team in the major leagues without a victory. The Nationals did not immediately announce who will replace Milledge on the active roster.
