Nats put 1B Young, 2B Hernandez on DL (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Washington Nationals first baseman Dmitri Young will start the season on the 15-day disabled list. Young goes on the DL Thursday with hip and back injuries. The move is retroactive to Wednesday. The Nationals also are putting starting second baseman Anderson Hernandez on the 15-day DL, retroactive to March 27.
