Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun left in the second inning of Tuesday night's game against the San Diego Padres to get X-rays on his right thumb. The 2007 National League rookie of the year, who hit .285 with 37 homers and 106 RBIs last season, appears to have been injured when he misplayed a first-inning line drive to left field off the bat of the Padres' Brian Giles.
