Pedroia expected to only miss a few days (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia has been diagnosed with an abdominal strain and will likely be out only a matter of days, not weeks as originally feared. The reigning American League MVP left the World Baseball Classic on Saturday for Fort Myers and was examined that night by Dr. Thomas Gill, the Red Sox team medical director.
