LHP Tallet, Jays agree to 1-year deal (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Left-hander Brian Tallet and the Toronto Blue Jays agreed Thursday to a one-year contract worth $1,015,000 and avoided salary arbitration. Tallet went 1-2 with a 2.88 ERA in a career-high 51 games last season, his third with Toronto. Drafted by Cleveland in 2000, Tallet has a 7-8 record in 152 games, including six starts.
