Tigers sign RHP Lyon to 1-year contract (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The Detroit Tigers have improved their bullpen, signing free agent right-handed pitcher Brandon Lyon to a one-year contract. The Tigers announced the deal Saturday at TigerFest, a fan event at Comerica Park. Lyon, who had 26 saves for the Diamondbacks last season, will have a chance to replace the retired Todd Jones at the end of Detroit's games.
