Dodgers sign Martin, Broxton for 1 year (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

All-Star catcher Russell Martin and reliever Jonathan Broxton avoided salary arbitration with the Los Angeles Dodgers by agreeing to one-year contracts Tuesday. Martin gets $3.9 million -- a considerable raise from the $500,000 he earned last season. Broxton accepted a $1,825,000 deal after making $454,000 last year.
