Royals' Buck, Peralta agree to terms (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Catcher John Buck and right-hander Joel Peralta agreed Tuesday to one-year contracts with the Kansas City Royals and avoided salary arbitration. The 28-year-old Buck hit .224 with 23 doubles, nine home runs and 48 RBIs in 109 games last year. A .234 hitter over five seasons with Kansas City, he has 62 career home runs.
