LHP Wilson gets $1.85M deal from Rangers (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Relief pitcher C.J. Wilson agreed Tuesday to a $1.85 million, one-year contract with the Texas Rangers, avoiding salary arbitration. The 28-year-old left-hander went 2-2 with 24 saves and a 6.02 ERA in 50 relief appearances last season and made $417,460. His season ended early when he underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs in his left elbow in mid-August.
