Cubs, INF Cedeno avoid arbitration (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The Chicago Cubs and utility infielder Ronny Cedeno have agreed to a one-year contract worth $822,500 and avoided salary arbitration. Cedeno batted .269 with two home runs and 28 RBIs in 99 games for the Cubs last season. He saw action at second base, shortstop, third base, left field and center field.
