A-Rod says he will play for Dominican Republic in WBC (usatoday.com)

Alex Rodriguez says he will play for the Dominican Republic in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. Rodriguez made the announcement Saturday while playing at a charity golf tournament in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was hosted by friend David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox.
