Tennessee-Martin coach Campbell resigns (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Tennessee-Martin says head basketball coach Bret Campbell has resigned after an internal audit found he violated school policies by cashing checks for summer basketball camps. In an announcement Friday, athletics director Phil Dane said the basketball program that Campbell led to its first Ohio Valley Conference championship and NIT tournament appearance is in compliance with NCAA rules.
