Coast Guard Academy women's basketball coach dies (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

The women's basketball coach at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut has been found dead in his car, but a Coast Guard spokesman says no foul play is suspected. Coast Guard officials say the body of 52-year-old Alex Simonka, of Ledyard, was found Saturday night. Authorities say Simonka graduated from the academy in 1979 and retired from active duty in 1999.
