Sowinski leads Sacred Heart to NEC title (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Kaitlin Sowinski had 20 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks to help Sacred Heart beat Saint Francis, Pa., 74-66 and win the Northeast Conference tournament championship Sunday. Sacred Heart (25-7), which has won 21 straight games and is tied with Wisconsin-Green Bay for the second longest winning streak in the nation behind Connecticut, is headed back to the NCAA tournament for the second time.
