Belmont tops Mercer on last-second shot (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Mick Hedgepeth's putback with two-tenths of a second to play gave Belmont a 65-64 victory over Mercer in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Sun tournament on Thursday. His rebound of Andy Wicke's miss was Hedgepeth's only basket of the second half, but enough to send the third-seeded Bruins (19-11) into Friday's semifinal against second seed East Tennessee State.
