Gipson scores 24, Kansas St knocks off Texas (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Marlies Gipson scored a career-high 24 points to help Kansas State beat No. 15 Texas 66-50 on Wednesday night. Ashley Sweat added 14 points for the Wildcats (22-6, 9-6 Big 12). Brittainey Raven led the Longhorns (20-9, 8-7) with 12 points. Neither team could gain control of the game until the Erika Arriaran scored eight straight points to help Texas take a 20-13 lead midway through the first half.
