Johnson C. Smith wins CIAA women's title (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Wendy Stywalt scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Johnson C. Smith to a victory over Bowie State on Saturday in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship game. Stywalt, a Charlotte native and North Carolina-Charlotte transfer, put the Golden Bulls (20-10) ahead 45-36 with a layup with less than 3 minutes remaining.
