Devan Downey scored 21 points and South Carolina set a school record with 16 blocked shots as the Gamecocks beat Kentucky 77-59 on Wednesday night. South Carolina (20-6, 9-4 Southeastern Conference) never trailed and led by at least 18 points the entire second half as it took sole possession of first place in the SEC East with three games left in the regular season.
