Phillips leads No. 21 Xavier past Dayton 78-57 (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Ta'Shia Phillips had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Special Jennings added 17 points as No. 21 Xavier beat Dayton 78-57 Sunday afternoon. Dayton (15-11, 4-6 Atlantic 10) scored the first eight points of the second half and briefly held a three-point lead. But Xavier (22-4, 10-0) soon tied it at 36 when Jennings hit a jump shot in the lane.
