Macie Michelson had eight points and Maria Boever added seven points as No. 24 South Dakota State defeated Western Illinois 52-31 on Saturday for an eighth-straight win. South Dakota State (22-2, 11-1 Summit League) led by five points going into half time with a 25-20 score. Western Illinois (7-16, 5-7 Summit League) managed just 11 points in the second period.
