Melissa Lechlitner scored 15 points and Erica Solomon had a key basket and a rebound late to lead No. 10 Notre Dame to a 70-67 victory over St. John's on Saturday. Kelly McManmon attempted a 3-pointer from the corner for St. John's (13-4, 1-3 Big East), but Lindsay Schrader blocked it at the buzzer as Notre Dame (15-2, 4-1) managed to avoid its first two-game losing streak of the season.
