Sophomore G Alexander withdraws from GW (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

George Washington basketball guard Xavier Alexander has voluntarily withdrawn from the university. Coach Karl Hobbs says the 6-foot-7 sophomore from Forrest Park, Okla., will be able to transfer to another school. Alexander appeared in all 13 games this season for George Washington (6-7), starting 12, and averaged 3.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
